The railway line that would have connected the towns of Baeza (Jaén) and Utiel (Valencia), which was never completed, was called to visit multiple and different territories.
Its route takes us, firstly, to the Albacete plain, homogeneous and agricultural land, and then plunges us into the Jardin River basin, transit area to a wild and rugged terrain such as the Sanctuary of Cortes, settled in the highlands of Alcaraz.
With this finish, the Greenway is confirmed as a pilgrimage and non-motorized route to get from Albacete to the nature of the Sierra de Alcaraz and monumentality of the homonymous village. |
